task.
As part of a beginners rhino 3D modelling and rendering course we were asked to choose an object and create a to scale model of the object within Rhino using some of the modelling techniques we had briefly practiced in the first few weeks. Then we were asked to render a final version of the object with good lighting.
reflection.
Overall I was actually super proud of myself. I had never touched Rhino and chose quite an ambitious project as it was a pretty big thing to model with lots of small parts but I’m super happy with the results. I had some experience with Modo from earlier but they are very different programs so it didn’t help much. I was very determined to do it wel nad have it done and I’m glad I stuck by it. I think it would have been a lot easier too if I had a better computer rather than an older laptop so it required a lot of patients but I think I developed a lot of good skills and good understanding of rhino and the texturing and rendering process. Overall I think I preferred Modo as a program but I love seeing these coloured blocks slowly get shaped and come to life.
